Intel, yeni nesil ekran kartlarını Aralık ayında gösterecek

Intel‘s highly anticipated new generation graphics card family, Battlemage, is rumored to be launched in December. The claims that hardware world-famous data miner Tomasz Gawronski leaked an image of a Battlemage SoC introduction on the Japan-based Gazlog blog are gaining strength. The accuracy of the image has not been confirmed yet, but when combined with previous leaks, the possibility that these claims may be true is quite strong.

Intel Arc Battlemage coming soon

Recently, a different source also made a similar statement about Intel’s new graphics cards, stating that the cards will be introduced in December. The Battlemage or Xe2 architecture made its debut with Intel’s Lunar Lake (Core Ultra 200V) processors. However, since the Arc Alchemist series, Intel’s graphics unit strategies have been progressing under a veil of secrecy. Some have interpreted this as a sign of Arc unit closure.

Intel’s latest moves in the graphics unit clearly demonstrate the company’s claims in this area. According to the latest comparative test results, Intel seems to have caught up with AMD’s RDNA 3.5 architecture. If Battlemage is released before RDNA 4, this could provide a significant advantage for Intel. However, RDNA 4 is expected to come with innovations such as ray tracing and hardware-based scaling, which could further intensify the competition in favor of AMD.

According to leaked information, Intel’s Battlemage series will consist of three different GPU models: Arc BMG-31, Arc BMG-20, and Arc BMG-G10. The flagship model BMG-31 is said to have 32 Xe cores. Of course, it is difficult to say anything definitive about performance, but it is noted that Intel will continue to focus on the mainstream in this generation. Additionally, if Intel wants to stay in the market, it needs to take significant steps, especially in driver performance. Meanwhile, AMD and Nvidia are expected to introduce their new generation cards at CES 2025 in January.
